In Montclair: Tree Falls, Takes Down Power Lines on Amherst Place
A fallen tree took some power lines with it on Sunday night on Amherst Place, the Montclair Fire Department reported.
Montclair, NJ – A fallen tree took some power lines with it on Sunday night on Amherst Place, the Montclair Fire Department reported.
The MFD provided Patch with the following statement on Monday:
“Last night at 10:19 p.m., we received a call reporting that a tree had fallen onto power lines in the area of Amherst Place. Montclair Engine 2 responded and confirmed that a tree had fallen, taking power lines down with it. The tree and power lines were blocking the street. Engine 2 secured the area and notified PSE&G to respond. At 12:25 a.m., after PSE&G’s arrival, Engine 2 cleared the scene.”
