Montclair United Pride U12 Girls Soccer Team Clinches Championship
The Montclair United Pride U12 Soccer Girls Team clinched the Championship June 12

The Montclair United Pride U12 Soccer Girls Team clinched the Girls Soccer Championship on Sunday, June 12, after taking second for the last two years. The Pride is a Division of Northern Counties Soccer League.
The girls arrived in Woodbury NY at 7:30 a.m. that day, on what felt like an early fall season game as the weather was cold and wet. This early start put the girls a little off their game and soon into the first half Woodbury scored. Woodbury had many attempts on goal, but Gabby Isola, the Prides lead goalie, had another stellar performance and did not let a single goal for the remainder of the game.
Gabby’s performance this year, assisted by the other goal keepers, only allowed 10 goals on the team the entire season. The Pride girls had a solid start in the second half – but up until the last two minutes of play, the Pride were still behind in the game. Then one of the best plays of the season the goal was scored by Alisa Wiggins, assisted by Samantha Cytron.
