Montclair Water Main Construction Work Begins Monday
The work is scheduled to start Monday. Here's what to know, Montclair officials said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A water main construction project that kicks off Monday in Montclair is expected to impact traffic in the area, officials say.
The road closure will impact Upper Mountain Avenue between Watchung Avenue and Berkeley Place. The road will close daily (weather permitting) until the project is completed, according to a municipal advisory.
Work is set to begin on Monday, March 4. Work will take place Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Watchung Avenue and Berkley Place will remain open during construction unless otherwise specified, officials noted.
Commuters should anticipate delays and exercise caution in the area. Drivers should plan alternate routes during work hours, officials advised.
