Montclair Will Hold Public Meetings On Community Grant Funding
Montclair receives about $300,000 annually in Community Development Block Grant funds.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair Township will be hosting two public hearings to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
According to a municipal news release, Montclair participates in the Essex County Consortium and annually receives about $300,000 in CDBG funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
CDBG funds are largely used for capital projects within eligible areas of the township. Some of the funds are made available to nonprofit organizations whose services and projects benefit primarily persons of low and moderate-income such as substance abuse counseling and youth programs.
