...Football and Lacrosse standout concludes superb scholastic career
Montclair resident Benji Safirstein completed a superb sports career at Montclair Kimberley Academy while helping to lead the Cougars lacrosse team to an outstanding 12-6 season this spring.
A football and lacrosse standout for the Cougars, Safirstein scooped up 53 ground balls while performing as a top defenseman and long-stick midfielder for MKA which was also a solid 5-2 in the Bianchi Division.
In football Safirstein excelled as a hard-hitting linebacker and very capable running back for MKA.

He had 40 tackles, including 3 for a loss along with an interception, fumble recovery and a sack as a defensive star for the Cougars football team which was 2-7 in 2025.
On offense he had 50 carries for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns.
