MUSC Announces Director Of Coaching

Club hires Touré Weaver as its first-ever travel program director of coaching.


Montclair United Soccer Club (MUSC) announced the hiring of Touré Weaver as MUSC's first-ever travel program Director of Coaching. His responsibilities include: oversight of MUSC curriculum and philosophy, trainer evaluation, tryout management, and hands-on coaching.  

"We're excited to welcome Touré Weaver to MUSC," said MUSC President Scott Davisson. "Players at all levels will benefit from Toure's knowledge, passion and discipline."

Weaver will continue to serve simultaneously in his role as the Assistant Varsity Men's Soccer Coach at Montclair High School, where he played before completing his playing career at the University of Pittsburgh.

"MUSC engages the best training organizations and independent trainers in the region," outlined David Deutsch, MUSC Travel Vice President. "Touré is ideally suited to drive consistency across trainers and organizations, while creating a culture of achievement for players at all levels."

MUSC has more than 1,500 children in its town and recreation programs throughout the year, including 28 travel teams this spring season.
