N.J. ‘Redneck’ Says His Pro-Trump Truck Had Tires Slashed

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Sour relations between Trump supporters and opponents in Bloomfield may have led to an alleged tire slashing incident in front of a Broad Street diner last week, reports say.
Bloomfield police said that local resident Larry LoSchiavo Jr. – the self-proclaimed founder/CEO/owner of “The Redneck Club of America” – reported that several suspects slashed two tires on his 2006 Ford F-150 as he ate with his family at a local diner on Nov. 10.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, three black males around 15-years-old were allegedly seen by the truck shouting obscenities about Trump after the slashing.

LoSchiavo said that he parked his truck – which is infamous in town for its pro-Donald decals and its plethora of attached military flags – near the restaurant prior to his family’s “Trump Victory Dinner.”

LoSchiavo estimated that the damage to his tires will come to close to $650.
In addition to the Nov. 10 slashing, the Bloomfield resident claimed that his truck has been the target of about a dozen politically motivated vandalism over the years, including a rock throwing incident in Montclair, eight dents, a broken windshield, six scratches and a host of spit, coffee, soda and “some other stuff.”
“All of this, just because I support Donald J. Trump?... Really?” LoSchiavo wrote.

LoSchiavo hasn’t been shy about voicing his pro-Trump leanings on social media. A few days after his alleged tire slashing incident, he posted the following message on Facebook:
“For all you little baby sore losers that insist on calling the Bloomfield Police Department about my flags and being an obstruction of view or a safety issue! LMFAO! Three times I have had an officer in my truck to see for themselves, and three times they have all said the same thing, no problem here have a nice day! Oh! I might add also to include, Verona police and Montclair police, which said the same thing! If my truck didn't have Trump on it and only flying my American flag and military flags, there wouldn't be an issue! You people are pathetic!”
After LoSchiavo’s Facebook post about the incident on Nov. 11, several Trump supporters offered their sympathy – some with racist undertones - in the comments section.
- “So sorry that this is happening to you over and over only because you decided to vote for the most fit man to be our next president. It took a lot of guts for you to do what you did to your truck.”
- “Sorry this has happened to you. Bloomfield is no longer and has not been for a long time, the lovely town it once was during the terms of Mayor Walt Davis, Mayor John Kinder and Mayor John Crecco. Nothing stays the same, I was born and raised in North Newark, Bloomfield is no exception.”
- “Brother you need to move out of Animal Land. Come west of 287, and live a much happier life if you have to stay in this state. I grew up in Passaic County. I refuse to go there unless it's absolutely necessary. Let the scum have the place, and get this way where we all think alike.”
The Nov. 10 incident isn’t the only recent alleged reprisal against Trump supporters in Bloomfield. In August, a 62-year-old Caucasian man told Bloomfield police that he was walking on West Passaic Avenue when a younger, African-American beat him with a metal bar during a racially charged argument over his Donald Trump T-shirt.
