Nearly $5K In Meat, Seafood Stolen From Montclair Supermarket: Police

The groceries were stolen during three separate shoplifting incidents, the store manager told Montclair police.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Thousands of dollars-worth of meat and seafood was recently stolen from a supermarket in Montclair, police announced Tuesday.

On Oct. 16, the manager of King’s Supermarket on Valley Road reported three incidents of shoplifting that took place in the span of a week, the Montclair Police Department said.

In the first incident, about $2,198 in produce, meat and seafood was stolen. In the second incident, $1,279 in meat and seafood was stolen. In the third incident, $1,426 in meat and seafood was stolen.

Police said two suspects have been identified. Both are 25 to 35-years-old, authorities said.
