MONTCLAIR, NJ — The sound of music just got a big shot in the arm at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair.

Earlier this week, the theater announced that it installed a “new and improved” sound system after hearing feedback from its patrons.

Staff wrote: “We’ve heard your feedback and are making changes to upgrade your audio experience at the Wellmont. Clair Brothers is installing a new and improved sound system for the theater today!”

The Wellmont’s announcement got a swell of comments from local concertgoers, many of whom recalled previous shows they'd attended at the venue. Seen online:

  • “Saw Jim Gaffigan a couple years ago. Sat in the upper balcony and you couldn't hear/understand anything! This makes my heart happy!”
