The district is currently represented by Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, who is facing a challenge from Mark DeLotto. The Republican candidates are Joseph Belnome, John Sauers and Raafat Barsoom.

Here are the latest election results as per the Associated Press, which remain uncertified:

DEMOCRAT (59 percent of votes counted)

Mikie Sherrill has apparently captured a landslide victory in the Democratic race, according to the AP, which has projected her as the winner:

  • Mikie Sherrill – 29,899 votes (94.6%)
  • Mark DeLotto – 1,704 votes (5.4%)

"I’ve worked tirelessly to deliver for New Jersey – securing federal funding for the Gateway Tunnel, standing up for reproductive freedom, and bringing down costs to help families get by," Sherrill said, declaring victory on Tuesday night.

"But there’s more work to do: Reproductive freedom and our democracy itself are under attack by MAGA extremists, so it’s time for us to get to work to flip the House and re-elect President Joe Biden," the congresswoman added. "New Jersey’s best days are ahead of us and strong leadership is more important than ever."

REPUBLICAN (32 percent of votes counted)

Joseph Belnome has also apparently triumphed by a wide margin in the Republican race, according to the latest AP results, which have projected him as the winner:

  • Joseph Belnome – 10,065 votes (86.5%)
  • John Sauers – 937 votes (8.1%)
  • Raafat Barsoom – 633 votes (5.4%)

“The momentum for America First candidates is stronger than ever in New Jersey and throughout the USA,” Belnome wrote Wednesday morning, claiming an election day victory.
