Patrick Wilson Visits Montclair Comic Shop; Aquaman Fever Spreads

"King Orm" met with local comic fans in Montclair. Geek out on some photos and video here.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — It’s not like Patrick Wilson is a stranger to Montclair… or the world of comic books.

Wilson – a Montclair resident who plays King Orm in DC’s new comic book blockbuster “Aquaman” – has been heavily involved with community-boosting efforts over the years. Along with fellow Montclairite Stephen Colbert, he’s made appearances and fundraised for the Montclair Film Festival, read books to kids as part of the town’s annual “Little Read” event and promoted the arts at the Montclair Literary Festival.

He’s also aced comic book-related roles before, having played Dan Dreiberg / Nite Owl II in Zack Snyder's big-budget film adaptation of the graphic novel “Watchmen.”

But that didn’t make Wilson’s appearance at East Side Mags in Montclair any less special for the fans who packed the store to meet the actor and singer on Saturday.
