Pedestrian Robbed, Slapped While Walking In Montclair: Police
Two men approached the victim and asked for the time. When he looked at his watch, one slapped him in the face, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two men robbed a pedestrian and slapped him across the face as he was walking down the street in Montclair earlier this week, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the robbery took place Monday. The victim reported that he was walking north on Pine Street towards Claremont Avenue, when two men – one 6 feet in height and the other 5 feet 10 inches – approached and asked him for the time.
When the victim looked at his watch, one of the men slapped him across the face, causing a laceration. The men then demanded that he hand over his watch and tote bag, which contained medication, police said.
