Petitioning In Montclair to Support Action On Climate Change

OFA AND OTHER LOCAL ACTIVISTS TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA's NEW CARBON EMISSION STANDARDS WITH PRESS CONFERENCE AND PETITIONS AT WALNUT STREET STATION IN MONTCLAIR - JUNE 4TH, 5:30 PM.

In order to show support for President Obama's newly released standards for Carbon Emissions that will reduce them by 30% by the year 2020 and to send a clear message to Congressman Rodney Freylinghuysen a group of local activists will begin a petition campaign to show that the Essex County supports ending Global Warming. Among the organizations being represented will be Organizing For Action, The Climate Reality Project and Climatemama.com along with Essex County Freeholder Brendan Gill. The petitioning will take place on Wednesday, June 4th, beginning with a press conference across from the station at 5:45 p.m.
