Photo Contest: Uplifting Chalk Art In Montclair

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Center BID is encouraging kids to post pictures of their inspiring, uplifting sidewalk or driveway chalk art for a chance to win gift cards to their favorite Montclair Center business.

According to a news release, young artists can post their pics to Instagram and tag @montclaircenter to enter. The contest is open from Friday, April 10 to Friday, April 24.

“We thought this would be a terrific and fun project for kids as we all stay close to home over spring break,” said Jason Gleason, executive director of the Montclair Center BID. “We are all looking forward to seeing the entries.”

Selected works that are entered in the contest may be reposted to Montclair Center’s social media channels. Young artists can enter as many times as they like, with different works of art. Several winners will be chosen. Winners will be announced Tuesday, April 28, and prizes will be sent via mail.

The Montclair Center BID represents over 400 businesses and more than 200 property owners in downtown Montclair.
