ESSEX COUNTY, NJ -- PSE&G will have a planned power outage on Wednesday, June 21, which is expected to affect traffic on Bloomfield Avenue, Glen Ridge police said.

The Glen Ridge Police Department issued the following advisory about the upcoming outage:

"PSE&G has scheduled a planned outage in Glen Ridge, in and around the Bloomfield Ave corridor for Wednesday, June 21. The outage is expected to be between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The traffic lights will not be functioning during this time. Traffic will be impacted at Bloomfield and Ridgewood, Bloomfield and Freeman, and Bloomfield and Hillside. Vehicles will be redirected in this area, and all drivers are urged to plan an alternate route and avoid the area. Please obey all traffic direction provided by the GRPD. Any affected residence, business, or property has been notified via letter by PSE&G if they are within the service area affected. If you did not receive a letter, you are not expected to lose power during this time. If you have any questions, please contact 973-365-2810."
