Police Investigate Possible Carjacking And Shooting Near Montclair-Orange Border

A victim was carjacked and possibly shot in the face, reports say.

Police are searching for a carjacking suspect who may have shot a man in the face near the Montclair-Orange border on Tuesday afternoon.

Montclair police responded to the area of Orange Road and Coogan Avenue around 2:15 p.m. alerting them about a possible carjacking and injured victim still in the area.

On arrival, police reportedly found a victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face, RLS Media reported.

Montclair police treated the victim and assisted officers from the Orange Police Department who took over the scene, TAP Into reported.

Tracking dogs and helicopters were seen in the area on Tuesday afternoon, according to Baristanet.
