Possible Burglary Attempt Reported In Montclair: Police

Three windows at the property were "tampered with," Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Someone may have tried to burglarize a property in Montclair last Thursday, authorities say.

The Montclair Police Department released the following statement about the incident, which was reported on Overlook Road:

“The victim reported that she was walking down to the first floor of her residence when she heard a noise coming from an office on the first floor. When she approached her office, she observed that three of her windows were tampered with. All three screens to her windows were opened, with the middle window screen lifted all the way.”

At the time of the report, it was unknown if anything was missing, police noted.
