Preparations Begin For ‘Zombie Walk’ In Montclair: Halloween 2024

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A popular “Zombie Walk” is returning to Montclair for the upcoming Halloween season.

Montclair-based comic book shop East Side Mags, in association with Indie Arts Montclair and now Out Montclair, will be holding Zombie Walk 2024 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Learn more here.

“The actual walk will start at 5:20 p.m., and we’ll creep, meander and claw our way around Montclair Center – horrifying businesses and patrons alike – in a zombie-like but non-aggressive manner,” organizers say.

Past events have included a popular option: makeup assistance from a professional. That will continue this year, but with some tweaks, organizers noted:

“Due to overwhelming attendance last year, we’re bringing in some heavy hitter makeup artists so we can make sure everyone is taken care of as efficiently as possible. Makeup will be $5 per person (all ages).”
