Rah, Rah, Khalif Herbin—Tributes Keep Pouring In
The star quarterback is garnering a lot of attention

The tributes just keep pouring in for Montclair High School football quarterback Khalif Herbin.
The senior was recently named The Star-Ledger's Offensive Football State Player of the Year for 2011. And now he's been selected to the MSG Varsity and National Football Foundation All-Metro team.
The honor, given to 25 standout tri-state area high school football players, was revealed live on MSG Varsity’s “A Quick :60” on television this week.

Banking 43 touchdowns this season, Herbin's speed and talent helped get the Mounties to the state championship game earlier this month at MetLife Stadium, where Montclair suffered a heart-wrenching, last-minute 14-13 loss to North Bergen.
“We’re delighted to partner with The National Football Foundation to honor the stand-out student athletes who comprise this year’s MSG Varsity All Metro Team,” said Michael Lardner, Senior Vice President & Executive Producer, MSG Varsity. “The MSG Varsity All Metro Team is part of our ongoing effort to showcase the sportsmanship, determination and passion of local athletes and coaches in the tri-state area.”
