Recap Of The MHS Crew Team's Fabulous Season

The Montclair High School Crew Team enjoyed perhaps its best season in history, picking up three gold medals at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta earlier this month. Here is a recap of what was a fabulous few months. Well done everyone!

Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championships Regatta (May 25-26)

Two-day rowing event

549 boats – 177 teams from 131 cities, 16 states, and 2 countries (U.S. & Canada)

Held on the Cooper River in Camden

7 of Montclair's 9 entries qualified for the semi-finals and 5 crews advanced to the finals – won 3 medals

2 Gold Medals – Women’s Junior 8 & Men’s Junior 4

1 Silver – Women’s Lightweight 8

Stotesbury Cup Regatta (May 18-19)

3 Gold Medals – Women’s Junior 8, Men’s Junior 4, & Men’s Varsity Quad

1 Silver Medal – Women’s Lightweight 8

1 Bronze – Men’s Freshman Quad

Dr. Robert White Regatta (Freshman only – May 13)

2 Silver Medals – Women’s Freshman 4 & Men’s Novice Double

2 Bronze Medals – Women’s Freshman 8 & Men’s Freshman Quad

Philadelphia City Championships (May 6)

2 Gold Medals – Men’s Novice 4 & Men’s Junior 4
