Rep. Sherrill’s Re-Election Campaign To Canvass In Montclair

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The campaign team for U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill will be holding canvassing events in Montclair, West Caldwell and West Orange.

According to Sherrill’s campaign team, the event will be focused on getting the congresswoman’s name on the ballot for the 2020 election. (Learn more here)

Canvassing events are set for the following dates:

• Montclair – 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 12
• West Caldwell – 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7
• West Caldwell – noon on Sunday, March 22
• West Orange – noon on Sunday, March 15 (St. Patty’s Day Parade)

Rep. Sherrill’s opponents in the 11th District this November include Republican challenger Rosemary Becchi, a tax policy attorney and the public advocate behind nonprofit Jersey First.

Becchi recently gained the endorsement of former U.S. Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, the GOP stalwart who occupied the seat for decades until his retirement in 2018. Sherrill, a Democratic Party member, won the seat he left vacant that year, triumphing against Republican state assemblyman Jay Webber.
