After Buffalo Springfield disbanded, Richie co-founded POCO along with renowned musician Jim Messina. Some music critics consider Richie’s song “Pickin’ Up The Pieces” on POCO’s debut album the world’s first country-rock song. It was the sound that, in turn, influenced today’s country music including the early sound of the Eagles. Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit, both Poco alumni, were each recruited to be part of the Eagles.
The concert is supported with sponsorship from Investors Bank, and Nancy and David Fine Jewels. Please join your friends and neighbors for an unforgettable night of magical musical entertainment and a great time as you experience The Musical History of Richie Furay and help raise much needed funds for IHN.
