CORRECTION: Man Killed In Orlando Nightclub Shooting Never A New Jersey Resident

Patch and other media outlets incorrectly said one of the victims of the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla. lived in New Jersey.

Patch and other media outlets incorrectly identified one of the victims of the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla. as a New Jersey resident.

The city of Orlando released the names of the victims, which included Peter O. Gonzalez-Cruz.

Gonzalez-Cruz, 22, went to Colonial High School in Orlando between 2010 and 2013. Patch, citing The Orlando Sentinel and other media sources, incorrectly reported that he lived in New Jersey and attended Colonia High School in Woodbridge. We regret the error.
