S2G's Montclair Literary Festival Announces Online Events
Succeed2gether's Montclair Literary Festival released details about its online events on September 12 and 13.

Succeed2gether’s Montclair Literary Festival is excited to release details of its planned online Festival on September 12 and 13, 2020.
“We are so happy to announce details of our online Festival,” said Festival Director, Jacqueline Mroz. “I am looking forward to all the panels but in particular ‘America’s Journey’ about race and the journey from slavery to segregation, the ‘Addiction and the Family’ discussion with Eilene Zimmerman about her book Smacked, and ‘2020 and the Future of American Politics’ with four highly respected political journalists and commentators. And then, we end the weekend with bestselling author Christina Baker Kline talking about her new book The Exiles with J. Courtney Sullivan, an event co-presented with Montclair Public Library’s Open Book Open Mind program.”
The festival will also feature panels and talks about fiction, sport, food and gender politics with authors such as Eduardo Porter, Adam Platt, Adrienne Miller, Maisy Card, and Ben Cohen. The ‘American Idol’ for budding authors, Pitchapalooza, will also take place online.

All talks are free (with the exception of The Exiles talk) and open to all. Times and registration details can be found here. Books can be purchased from Festival partner Watchung Booksellers.
This year’s festival was to have taken place from March 25 to 29, 2020, with over 130 authors in more than 50 events over the five days, with an expected audience of over 3,500 people. After the postponement of the festival in mid-March due to COVID-19, the festival team rescheduled the festival for September 12.

Mroz added that due to ongoing health concerns, the festival organizing committee has set aside two dates for 2021. “Our Festival Day for 2021 is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 20, but if that is not possible, then we have a back-up date of Saturday, October 2, 2021,” said Mroz.
This year more than ever, the festival is grateful for the support of event partners Succeed2gether staff, all at the Montclair Public Library, First Congregational Church, and Watchung Booksellers, as well as Festival sponsors Rao’s, Montclair State University, West of Hudson Realty Group, plus a generous group of Festival Friends, Patrons, and community members.
