Sabrina Carpenter Brings ‘Singular Tour’ to NJ's Wellmont Theater

Burgeoning pop star Sabrina Carpenter is coming to Montclair, N.J.’s premier concert venue, the Wellmont Theater, on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Upon taking to the road for the 2019 Singular Tour, Carpenter, 19, who has opened for A-listers like Ariana Grande and Miranda Cosgrove, has continued to showcase her pop sensibilities and lyrical strengths. Promoting her third album, “Singular: Act I,” the young pop star is sure to please the New Jersey crowd, after doing so for music critics on her latest record.

According to Carpenter, a two-time Radio Disney Music Award winner, the new album pushes her out of her comfort zone, weaving confidence and empowerment throughout the eight tracks. “Act I” also blends Carpenter’s signature vocal style with the atmospheric pop tone she perfected with her 2016 effort, “Evolution.” Carpenter refined that sound for “Act I,” noting that she wanted the songs to be “acted theatrically.” Resulting tracks include the club-ready “Almost Love,” the sultry “Paris” and her self-worth anthem, “Sue Me,” plus powerhouse vocals on “Diamonds Are Forever” help round out the record.

The star’s fame has not been confined to the music stage, either, as Carpenter has found success in front of the camera, too. Carpenter has had recurring roles in numerous Disney Channel productions, including “Girl Meets World.” She recently appeared in the feature film “The Hate U Give” and will take on her first leading role in 2019’s “The Short History of The Long Road.”

The Wellmont Theater is located at 5 Seymour Street, Montclair, N.J.
