School of Rock Montclair Announces New Fall Performance Programs

Programs Include tributes to Tom Petty, "Weird Al", The Smiths/The Cure, US/UK Punk, Roots of Reggae, Modern Rock, and Led Zeppelin/Heart

School of Rock Montclair will begin rehearsals for its fall performance programs on October 1. Students will take part in weekly rehearsals of their chosen programs through January, and concert presentations of the programs will take place at local live music venues in February.

“Performance programs are the culmination of our students’ experience at School of Rock Montclair,” says Kevin March, General Manager. “We put on shows to teach music, and our students gain skills and confidence from the live shows of our performance programs that enhance every aspect of their lives.”

In each performance program, students work with bandmates of similar skill levels to learn the most popular and important songs of the artists or genres being featured. Students also learn the intricacies of presenting these songs in front of a live audience.
