School of Rock Montclair to Hold Raffle for Free Week of Summer Camp at This Sunday's Radiohead Tribute Concert

On Sunday, 5/22, School of Rock Montclair will hold a raffle for a free week of summer camp at their tribute to Radiohead concert.

On Sunday, May 22, School of Rock Montclair will hold a raffle for a free week of one of their summer camps. Entry is open to a new School of Rock Montclair student, and the winner (with appropriate skill level) will be able to choose from a selection of camps - including themed weeks dedicated to learning and performing the music of Nirvana, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who, songwriting, or developing beginning skills. Contest entry will take place at the Old Mogul Theatre, 180 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, at the School’s free Performance Program concert of “The Music of Radiohead”.

“Some of our top ‘Advance Placement’ students will be putting their skills on display in a tribute to Radiohead, and we thought that this concert would be a great way to demonstrate how far these young players have progressed in their musicianship by tying in a camp giveaway,” says School of Rock Montclair General Manager Kevin March. “Our summer camps give campers to an opportunity to learn music or enhance their existing talents, and our Radiohead concert is a great example of how far they can excel in our unique performance-based education programs.”

“The Music of Radiohead” will feature performances by some of School of Rock Montclair’s premier students - including multi-instrumentalist Sam Schuman of Montclair and Misha Nicholas (vocals/keyboards) of South Orange, both whom of were selected from among America’s top teen musicians to tour the country this summer as part of the School of Rock All-Stars band.
