MONTCLAIR, NJ — Several vehicles were either found or stolen in Montclair last week, police say.

The Montclair Police Department released the following information about the thefts on Wednesday:

  • June 28 (Midland Avenue) – Theft of a 2020 BMW 540. Taken overnight from the driveway of the residence.
  • June 28 (Oakwood Avenue) – Theft of a 2021 Audi Q5 from the driveway of a residence. The vehicle was taken sometime overnight. This vehicle was recovered in Newark on June 29.
  • June 29 (South Willow Street) - Patrols discovered a parked/unoccupied stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle, a 2017 Lincoln Continental, had been reported stolen out of Philadelphia earlier in the month.
  • June 30 (Valley Road at Brookfield Road) - Patrols discovered a parked/unoccupied stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle, a 2014 BMW 3-Series, had been reported stolen out of Clifton on June 28.
  • June 30 (Godfrey Road) - Theft of a 2022 BMW X5 from the driveway of a residence. The vehicle was stolen during the prior evening/overnight hours.
