Several Montclair Vehicles Damaged In Storm

Several Montclair vehicle owners suffered damage to their cars during last week's storm, police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Several Montclair vehicle owners suffered damage to their cars during last week's storm, police said.

Montclair was among several Essex County towns hit hard by last Wednesday's storm and its heavy, wet snow, which left roads treacherous and wires down all over the township. The Montclair Police Department received several reports of damage to vehicles:

  • March 7 - Mt. Hebron Road - A vehicle traveling eastbound on Mt. Hebron Road was struck by a falling tree. The vehicle sustained damage to the hood and windshield. There were no injuries reported.
  • March 8 - Warren Place - A parked vehicle was struck by a falling tree. The side view mirror was smashed in this incident.
  • March 8 – Oak Place - Four vehicles were damaged by a falling tree. These vehicles sustained damage to their roofs.
  • March 8 – Aubrey Road - A falling tree limb smashed the sunroof of a parked vehicle.
