Stephen Colbert and J.J. Abrams Will Host 'Nerd-Off' To Benefit Montclair Film Fest

The event will feature "a wide-ranging, on-stage look at the duo's influences, ideas and creative work."

Prepare for one of the biggest “Nerd Offs” you’ve ever seen, Montclair.

The Montclair Film Festival announced on Wednesday that Stephen Colbert – the new host of The Late Show – will team up with renowned sci-fi director J.J. Abrams to put on a “Nerd Off” benefit for the annual festival.

Slated for 8 p.m. at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark on Nov. 21, the event will feature “a wide-ranging, on-stage look at [Colbert’s and Abrams’] influences, ideas and creative work,” according to a release.

Tickets range from $59.50 to $250, and will available by telephone at 1-888-GO-NJPAC (1-888-466-5722), at the NJPAC Box Office at One Center Street in downtown Newark, and online at www.njpac.org and Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets go on sale for Montclair Film Festival members beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and to the general public on Friday, Sept. 11.

The 5th annual Montclair Film Festival will take place from April 29 through May 8, 2016.
