Stolen Car, Thefts From Autos Reported In Montclair
An unlocked car was stolen in Montclair. The town also saw a catalytic converter theft and an overnight car break-in, police said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — An unlocked car was stolen in Montclair last week, which also saw a catalytic converter theft and an overnight car break-in, police said.
The Montclair Police Department released the following statements about each incident:
Jan. 10 (Lorraine Avenue) - "A resident reported that the catalytic converter was stolen off of her 2005 Honda CRV. The incident reportedly occurred sometime between January 8 and January 10. The vehicle was parked in her driveway."

Jan. 10 (Upper Mountain Avenue) - "A victim reported that her 2004 Toyota Camry was stolen during the overnight hours. The vehicle was parked, unlocked, in the area of the Iris Gardens. The vehicle contained an undetermined amount of clothing and animal care products."
Jan. 15 (North Willow Street) - "A complainant reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours while it was parked in front of her residence. The glove compartment was emptied. Approximately $480 in cash, as well as a laptop computer, was stolen."
