Stop & Shop Unveils Second Remodeled Clifton Store

Store Joined By Mayor James Anzaldi For Ribbon Cutting

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its second remodeled Clifton store (160 Kingsland Road). Mayor James Anzaldi joined the store for the ribbon cutting.

The Kingsland Road store now joins the Broad Street store in being noticeably brighter and more modern. The store also offers new features centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier, such as:

· Expanded produce department offering more ways to eat healthy

· Remodeled bakery department complete with delicious cakes, cupcakes and other treats

· New grab-and-go meal solutions including a new hot foods bar featuring freshly packed entrees and sides, as well as sushi made fresh in-store daily, and a flatbread pizza station

· Upgraded meat and seafood departments

· An updated deli department that features an expanded assortment of offerings including a globally inspired array of cheeses

· Expanded dairy and frozen food departments offering a wider array of goods

· Expanded ethnic product assortments - Kosher including dairy, Dominican, Eastern European, Polish, Middle Eastern and Mexican

· Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available

“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our local shoppers,” said John Encke, Store Manager of Stop & Shop Clifton. “We’ve added more of what our customers want and upgrades they need to get their shopping done faster and get back to what matters most.”

Stop & Shop continues to offer Pickup, providing customers with a faster and more convenient way to shop. Customers can place an order on the Stop & Shop® mobile app or visit www.stopandshop.com, click on “Order Online” and select “Pickup” at the Clifton Kingsland Road store. They can then head to the store and have a Stop & Shop associate load their groceries right into their car.

Shoppers can look forward to a weekend of giveaways and family-friendly events, May 20-22, while supplies last.
