Street Scooter Stolen Near Montclair Apartment Building

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A gas-powered scooter was recently stolen near an apartment building in Montclair, police say.

The Montclair Police Department released the following details about the vehicle theft, which took place June 30 on New Street:

“The complainant reported that he parked his motorcycle behind his apartment building at approximately 11:30 a.m. He reported that he was alerted by a friend at 2 p.m. that the motorcycle was no longer there.”

The bike was described as a 2026 black ZHI ST1 gas-powered street scooter with gloves attached to the handlebars and a “GrubHub” basket affixed to the front, police said.
