WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE

On the day of the workshop, the students will convene at the Montclair University campus for a day of intensive, hands-on learning. The event will kick-off with a brief review of the day’s topic facilitated by round-table discussion with subject matter experts on various alternative energy issues affiliated with Picatinny Arsenal. Students then will break-out into groups of 3-4 to participate in a hands-on problem-solving project related to a real-world case study. Each group will be led by a subject matter expert and facilitated by a Montclair undergraduate/graduate student. Group recommendations will be presented to managers and engineers from Picatinny Arsenal for feedback. The coordination of the discussions and demonstrations, and workshop planning will be handled jointly by SGAP Leaders and Montclair State University - Sustainability Studies subject matter experts.
