Sweet Home Montclair Opens "Words" In Upper Montclair
Upper Montclair continues to change with new and expanding businesses.
For years, Upper Montclair has been the go-to neighborhood for The Gap, Williams-Sonoma, Tinga Taqueria, and Cold Stone Creamery, among other destinations. But the tenor of the neighborhood continues to change, as businesses open or expand.
For example, in the last few months, Four Seasons Kebab House, Five Guys, and Baby's Perfect Gift have opened.
And now Sweet Home Montclair on Valley Road—which opened in November 2009—has expanded with a new adjacent shop called Words in the space that formerly housed Montclair Paperie.

"We have people who go to the Char-Broil to eat every Sunday and then they'll come in here afterwards," she said, adding that "we've really gotten to know our customers."
Paul Giordano, the owner, said Sweet Home Montclair, and now Words as well, seek to distinguish themselves with unique products, including a wide range of chocolates "made with real chocolate."
"We want to offer both value and uniqueness," he said.
The stores, just down from The Gap, also offer everything from napkins to chutney.
