Szabo Chamber Music Society Will Host Gala Concert In Montclair

All proceeds will go toward funding the society's 2026 concert season.

The newly formed nonprofit organization, Szabo Chamber Music Society (SCMS), will present a tour de force program of music inspired by love in a Gala Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Avenue in Montclair.

The concert will feature nationally acclaimed singers Holly Thomas, soprano, Christopher Lucier, tenor, and Dr. Sandor Szabo, harpsichord, organ and piano.

All proceeds will go toward funding the SCMS’s 2026 concert season. Szabo, artistic director, has over 20 years of experience leading premier chamber and choral music series in both Canada and the United States and is thrilled to launch his new series at Union Congregational Church. Musical selections will hail from a variety of genres, from art songs to opera and Broadway and the original piano rendition of the famous Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $5 for students. Donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible.
