Temple Ner Tamid Celebrates the High Holy Days

New Years celebrations happening this week at Temple Ner Tamid.

 

L'SHANAH TOVAH HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TEMPLE NER TAMID  HIGH HOLY DAYS

Due to space limitations, tickets are required for the high holiday services at Temple Ner Tamid.  However, the community is invited to attend Family Tot services held in the sanctuary on Rosh Hashanah, Monday, September 17 at 2pm, Rosh Hashanah Day 2 services at 10am on Tuesday, September 18,  Yom Kippur Family Tot services on Yom Kippur, Wednesday, September 26, Yizkor at 3pm and closing services Mincha and Ne'ilah at 4pm.  Call the Temple office for more information at 973.338.1500.

Once again, Temple Ner Tamid will offer a High Holy Day family worship experience called "B'Yachad" for children in grades 3 to 7 in a relaxed, interactive environment.  Led by talented Peri Smilow on guitar, the experiential worship with song, study, prayer and interactive family discussions on the High Holy Day liturgy and Torah reading will take place at the same time as the main service, from 9 to 10am and then again from 11:15 to 12:45 on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Sept 17. Sunday, September 30 (9 am to 5 pm)

Buy your lulav and etrog, enjoy the sights of the Lower East Side, have lunch at Noah's Ark, tour the Eldridge Street Synagogue OR the Tenement Museum. $25/pp plus cost of lunch (reservation required). The bus leaves Temple Ner Tamid at 9 am and returns by 5 pm. Prospective members and the community are invited.

SUKKAH DECORATING, FAMILY PICNIC AND SERVICE

Sunday, September 30 at 5:30 pm

The community is invited to Ner  Tamid's Sukkah decorating, family picnic and service on Sunday, September 30 at 5.30 pm. Bring a dairy or pareve meal for your family, help decorate the sukkah, enjoy live music by the Sukkah Mountain Boys, and daven with us as we welcome Sukkot.
