Thief Steals Car In Montclair, Leaves Stolen Vehicle Behind: Police

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Someone stole a vehicle from a driveway in Montclair on Monday night – and replaced it with a stolen car, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, a Park Terrace resident reported that his 2019 Acura RDX was stolen from his driveway during the overnight hours.

The vehicle was replaced with a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, which was left idling in the street. The Elantra was determined to be stolen from Newark, police said.

No additional information was available in an initial police statement.
