Toni’s Kitchen Will Launch ‘Mobile Market’ With $10K Donation
Toni's Kitchen will be launching a new weekly "Neighborhood Mobile Market" in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Toni’s Kitchen will be launching a new weekly “Neighborhood Mobile Market” in Montclair with the aid of a $10,000 donation from the ACME Markets Foundation.
Earlier this week, representatives from the foundation presented Toni’s Kitchen with a check to launch the new market at the Neighborhood Child and Infant Care Center (NCICC) in Montclair.
According to a news release from Toni’s Kitchen, Neighborhood Mobile Markets will allow visitors to choose fresh produce, protein and groceries best suited to their families in a farmers-market-style setting. These markets typically serve approximately 100 visitors per run in Montclair, Bloomfield and West Orange.

This will be the sixth market Toni’s Kitchen opens in the community, the food ministry stated.
Spokespeople noted that Toni’s Kitchen has partnered with NCICC for a decade. NCICC nurtures children from ages six weeks to five years in a supervised program led by certified teachers and teachers’ assistants. The center is committed to quality care and prioritizes early intervention, equipping parents with essential resources to support their children.

The center also provides healthy meals and snacks – an effort that the mobile market will help support.
Toni’s Kitchen Executive Director Anne Mernin thanked the foundation for their donation.
“Because of their commitment to our community, families will have weekly access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and a diverse array of the nutritious food that we all want for our children to help them flourish,” Mernin said.
“ACME Markets Foundation and its Nourishing Neighbors program are thrilled to work with Toni’s Kitchen to continue its mission to help families get access to fresh and shelf-stable foods,” said Dana Ward, the foundation’s director of communications and public affairs.
