Municipal offices will be closed Thursday, November 11, for the Veterans Day holiday. Refuse and recycling will be collected.

Join us for the Township's annual Veterans Day Tribute which will be held on Thursday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m., in Edgemont Memorial Park. Mayor Sean M. Spiller will be Master of Ceremonies. This year's event will include remarks from Edward H. Harris of Crawford Crews American Legion Post 251.

Local musician Cecile Williams will sing the national anthem. Glenfield Middle School students Valentina Felisbret and Bailey Ruff will speak on the meaning of Veterans Day.

Rabbi Laurence Groffman, Temple Sholom West Essex, will perform the invocation, say the benediction, and will bless the wreaths.

Also attending will be representatives from veterans organizations which include the Crawford Crews American Legion Post 251, Lt. Vincent J. Russo American Legion Post 382, Disabled American Veterans and Daughters of the American Revolution Eagle Rock Chapter.

The Montclair Community Band will perform immediately prior to and after the ceremony and the band's trumpeter Scott Freier will sound "Taps."

The Montclair Police and Fire Honor Guards will open the program with the Advance of Colors and will conclude the ceremony with the Retirement of Colors.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be canceled.
