Traffic Delays Expected Wednesday On Rt. 46, New Jersey Officials Say
NJDOT: Construction work is expected to cause delays on a portion of Route 46 in Essex and Passaic counties on Feb. 8.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Construction work is expected to cause delays on a portion of Route 46 in Essex and Passaic counties on Wednesday, Feb. 8, officials say.
According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), lane closures are scheduled for Route 46 eastbound in Fairfield and Wayne from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
NJDOT’s contractor, Anselmi & DeCicco Inc., is scheduled to close the left lane and then right lane on Route 46 eastbound between Passaic Avenue and the entrance ramp to the Willowbrook Mall for guiderail repairs.

At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction, the NJDOT said. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
“Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays or plan an alternate route,” officials said.
