I am becoming increasingly concerned about the “Adults” in Montclair not following basic traffic laws. Each time I attempt to cross a street with no traffic light but with a crosswalk and pedestrian crosswalk sign, I debate whether or not to take my life into my own hands or believe “pedestrians always have the right of way when crossing an intersection with a visible crosswalk- while walking within that crosswalk.” ( NJ Law ). Following basic traffic laws is not a choice. We need to act like adults if we are adults. This is stressful and we shouldn’t need to worry about this. There’s no wiggle room here folks. Obey the traffic laws. If you are not obeying traffic laws and you have children this is even more shameful. Peace to all of us and please—Be Safe.
