Upper Montclair Resident Boosts MKA Boys Lacrosse

Upper Montclair resident Kiran Hailey was a steady performer for the Montclair Kimberley Academy boys lacrosse team which completed a strong 12-6 season during the 2026 spring campaign.

The junior long-stick midfielder provided solid play throughout the field including scooping up 53 ground balls and also scoring six goals and adding seven assists for the Cougar laxmen, who were also a fine 5-2 in the highly-competitive Bianchi Division.

MKA reached the semifinals of the state prep tournament before falling to a powerful Hun school, 10-6, and also dropped a tough 9-8 overtime decision to neighboring Verona in the quarterfinals of the Essex County Tournament.

The Cougars' 2026 season ended with a 16-7 loss at Christian Brothers Academy in the second round of the NJSIAA Non-Public state tournament on May 30.

MKA did defeat Red Bank Catholic, 19-3, in the state tourney's opening round.
