Vandals Have Been Chucking Rocks In Montclair, Police Say
Several incidents of vandalism involving the apparent use of rocks were reported in Montclair, police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair was “rocked” by vandals last week, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, several incidents of vandalism involving the apparent use of rocks were recently reported in the township. Police provided the following accounts of the episodes:
- December 6 (Grove Street) – “The window to a Grove Street business was damaged. The damage was possibly caused by someone throwing a rock. Entry into the business was not gained.”
- December 7 (The Crescent) – “An unknown person(s) threw a rock through the window of a residence on The Crescent. The window was valued at approximately $100.”
- December 9 (Melrose Place) – “The dining room window to a Melrose Place residence was broken by an unknown object. Three juveniles were seeing leaving the area.”
- December 9 (The Crescent) – “Unknown person(s) threw a rock at a vehicle causing the windshield to break.”
- December 9 (Orange Road) – “A rock was thrown through the living room window of an Orange Road residence. Damage was estimated at $500.”
