Violet PR, a New Jersey-based public relations agency specializing in economic development and commercial real estate, is proud to announce its national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization New York (WPEO NY), a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

April Mason, president and owner of the firm, founded Violet PR in 2010 to cast light on community leaders, developers and designers making a difference in the world, as well as those representing underserved destinations and demographic sectors. Mason is an economic development and real estate expert with over two decades of experience developing public relations campaigns for clients across the U.S. Her team actively strives to partner with woman and minority-owned organizations.

WBENC’s national standard of certification, implemented by the WPEO New York, is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
