Wallet Stolen After Man ‘Harassed’ For Money In Montclair: Police
A man was struck in the face and had his wallet stolen in Montclair, police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A man who was “harassing” another person for money in Montclair last weekend ended up hitting them in the face and stealing their wallet, police said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the robbery took place Saturday on Bloomfield Avenue.
The victim said he was sitting on a bench in the area of Park Street and Bloomfield Avenue, when a man began to “verbally harass” him for money. The man eventually struck him in the face and stole his wallet, which had $120 in cash inside.

The suspect fled the scene north on Park Street, police said.
The suspect was described as a man 5 feet 11 inches with a medium build. He was wearing a black shirt, authorities said.
