Watchung Student's Team Comes In First at National Soccer Event
Michael Guzman, 7, recently attended the 3v3 Soccer World Championship in Orlando

Let's hear it for Montclair resident Michael Guzman, 7, who played on the national championship team that came in first place at the 2012 Kick It 3v3 Soccer World Championship event that was held Jan. 14 to 16 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
Guzman is part of the SDFC Santos 3v3 Soccer Team headed by Coach Paul Nash of the Soccer Domain Academy in Montclair.
Guzman is a second grader at Watchung Elementary School, where he is well known for his soccer and athletic abilities. He is also part of the YMCA afterschool program. Guzman started playing soccer at the age of 4, first with the Belleville Recreation Department.

He also trained in the summer with the Red Bulls Academy at one of their residential camps and played with the Just One Soccer League before joining the Soccer Domain in Montclair.
