The woman told police that she became aware someone may have been following her, a suspicion that was apparently confirmed when an unknown man came up and gave her an “unsolicited hug,” authorities said.
The woman ran into a nearby wooded area in an attempt to escape the man, who didn’t follow her. While she was running, she fell and scratched her legs and injured her ring and middle fingers, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told Patch.
