Progressive rock band Yes will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a tour of the U.S., including a stop at Montclair's Wellmont Theater.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Progressive rock band Yes will celebrate their 50th anniversary this summer on a 35-date tour of the U.S., including a stop at Montclair’s Wellmont Theater on Saturday, July 7.

According to the Wellmont Theater:

“Formed in London in 1968, Yes, has been creating hits like "Owner of a Lonely Heart" and “Roundabout” for decades. The Grammy award-winning band is one of the most successful, influential, and longest-lasting progressive rock bands ever selling 13.5 million RIAA-certified albums in the U.S. In April 2017, Yes was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which chose to specifically bestow the honor upon current and former members.”

On board for this tour are guitarist Steve Howe, who joined Yes in 1970, keyboardist Geoff Downes, who first joined in 1980, Singer Jon Davison, who joined in 2011 and Billy Sherwood, who was late bassist Chris Squire’s choice to take over bass and vocals in 2015.
