Phillips began her solo career playing with her band in London until she moved to L.A and recorded her first album  "When The Rain Stops" with Ted Perlman, Grammy winning producer. The song "Secrets" was used onthe daytime soap, "Passions."

She recently recorded a song with legendary Hip-Hop artist DMC called "I'm Legit" on which the two collaborated as adopted people to bring awareness to sealed birth records in the U.S.  The song descibes issues that adopted people go through emotionally during their search for their birth parents. (The video can be seen on Youtube.)

Phillips published  her book "Mother Me" published in March 2011.  The book
covers her story as an adoptee, including her search, reunion and closer understanding of both her Mothers that came to her when she had her own children.

Her new CD "You Me and Us"  -  also produced by Ted Perlman -features "I'm Legit" and other original songs. She can be seen on Montclair TV34’s "Arts Up Close" launch montclair.peg.tv - (select “Arts Up Close” in the “Categories” tab).
